A web-based BSC CSEMS Application Form is
now available at
http://tech-research.buffalostate.edu/csems/
Students are asked to fill out the application every semester,
but returning students may abbreviate some responses.
The Career Development Center will design and conduct all three
CSEMS colloquia from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.

March 5, 2004 - Bacon Hall 117 -
"What's next? Prepairing for Graduation and Beyond"
Graduate School/Job search,
Two workshops going on simultaneously.
Students will have the choice of which one they prefer.
Job search, resume, cover letter, interviewing.
March 26, 2004 - Bacon Hall 117 -
"From Sweats to Suits: Secrets to a Successful Transition from College to Work"
April 16, 2004 - Bacon Hall 117 -
"Cool Stuff that You Can Do in Technology"
Ms. Jessie Stack is the CSEMS Counselor again this semester.
New students please schedule a time to meet with her.
Returning students will not be required to attend a counseling session, however Jessie will be available for students who want to meet with her.
The CSEMS dollar amount is expected to be
approximately $1500,
to
be paid at the end of the semester based on three requirements:
Fill out on-line application form (location to be announced
in the invitation email/letter),
Attend three colloquia, and
New students will meet with Jessie (to be announced).
The exact amount of the scholarship will be determined
on April 16, by dividing the remaining funds by the total
number of students.
WARNING:
April 16, 2004 is the final date for all
work to be counted toward the CSEMS amount for Spring 2004.
Do not wait until the end of the
semester to do any makeup work.
Ms. Jessie Stack & Ms. Shannon Landow are the CSEMS
Counselors this semester. (Shannon worked during the
summer and the first few weeks before she got
an engineering job.

This program will consist of an employer panel (representative of all student interest areas) and the focus will be on diversity, management styles, business ethics, and corporate culture.
